Windows on the Green at The Phoenician (6000 E Camelback Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, +14809418200, www.thephoenician.com) is celebrated for its tasty Southwestern dishes.

Aunt Chilada’s (7330 N Dreamy Draw Drive, AZ 85020, +16029441286, www.auntchiladas.com) - Mexican

Durant’s (2611 N Central Avenue, AZ 85004, +16022645967, www.durantsfinefoods.com) The legendary downtown establishment also serves up chicken, seafood, and chops in portions as vast as the western expanse.

Sushi on Shea (7000 E Shea Boulevard, AZ 85254, +14804837799, www.sushionshea.com) is an award-winning Japanese restaurant with an extensive sushi menu as well as a dinner menu for the daunted diner.

Salt Cellar (550 N Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, +14809471963), which is so named because the eatery is underground - excellent fish.

  • AZ Wine Co.
    Locations in Carefree and Scottsdale. Wine tastings and events. Named one of America's top 50 wine stores by GQ Magazine in April 2004.
  • Epicurean Wine Service
    From the web site: Imported and domestic wines, wine tasting events, wine accessories. According to the web site, they stock over 750 varieties of wine.
  • Red Kangaroo Wines
    From the web site: "Red Kangaroo Wines is your source for the finest in Australian wine. Browse the most complete selection of wines currently offered outside of the land down under, including rare boutique varieties. Experience the Australian flair for creating wines, which are amongst the best produced in the world today." If you stop into one of the stores, you can sign up to receive email notices of events and wine tastings. Locations in Phoenix and Chandler.
  • SPORTSMAN’S Fine Wines & Spirits
    A large selection of fine wines, and frequent wine tasting events at this popular store at 32nd Street and Camelback. SPORTSMAN'S is Arizona's largest independent wine and spirits retailer in Arizona. It has been doing business in Phoenix since 1986, and, in addition to a large wine selection, claims to offer the largest selection of vodka, gin, rum, tequila, single malt scotch, brandies, cordials, aperitifs and other distilled spirits in the state of Arizona.
  • A J's Fine Foods
    From the web site: "Every year for the last 18 years AJ's Fine Foods has brought to you a selection of 50 or more wines retailing under $11.99. This year is no different. All of our Cellar Masters have sampled and rated wines with great taste, structure and value....Wines from South America, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, and California are represented on the list; which includes varieties such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Mourvèdre, Chardonnay, Viognier, Muscat, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc." A J's Fine Foods has eight locations in the metro Phoenix area.
  • Cost Plus World Market

Baskets from Bali, chocolates from Belgium, pottery from Portugal, and wine from around the world." Seven locations in the Valley.
  • Trader Joe's
    From the web site: "For those of you who don't know us well yet, our initial reason for being in the business of selling wine is we want to offer our customers good wines for a great deal. Whether it's a very well priced Chard from Australia or a robust red from Chile, we want to be the ones who offer those options at an outstanding value." Nine locations in the Valley. Trader Joe's is a grocery store that is a favorite of those who are looking for vegetarian, Kosher, organic and other specialty foods.

Two clubs with different styles joined by a glass walkway. It is not uncommon to see celebrities there. Located in Central Scottsdale. Dress code enforced.

AZNghtbuzz.com
AZNightBuzz.com highlights bands and entertainment venues in Arizona. Focus is on local mucic and nightlife. Concert calendar.

BandWagon
This isn't a place, it's an event! These people plan pubcrawling events, including tranportation. The goal is to help people experience the Phoenix music scene.

Bar Louie
Located in Tempe. Upbeat music, late night dining.

Chez Nous
Located in Central Phoenix. Small, dark, and popular. Has been around since the 60s.

Club Rio
Dance and party music, as well as after hours entertainment. Located in Tempe.

Coyote Alley
A western-style neighborhood saloon and dancehall with a rustic atmosphere. Live country music, Karaoke and daily “Happy Hour” Specials.

Fox Sports Grill
Located in North Scottsdale. An upscale sports bar and restaurant where you can see live braodcasts of sports programs and rub elbows with pro athletes.

Jade Bar
Located at the Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain, a resort and spa. Outdoor patio with an extensive drink menu.

Next
Signature martinis and music. Located in downtown Scottsdale.

Rhythm Room
Located in Central Phoenix. If you need to hear the blues, this is the place.

Tempe Improv
The Tempe Improv has been showcasing comedy acts for more than ten years. Located in downtown Tempe near ASU. You must be at least 18 to get in.
